Philip Rosedale, Freidrica Heiberger, and Ryan Karpf founded High Fidelity in 2013. Our office is located in San Francisco, US. High Fidelity is currently in open Beta.
By early 2017, High Fidelity raised $40m in several investment rounds. Out investors include Google Ventures, True Ventures, Kapor Capital, HTC, Linden Lab, Vulcan Capital, IDG Capital Partners, and Breyer Capital.

Philip Rosedale is the CEO and co-founder of High Fidelity, Inc. Prior to High Fidelity, Rosedale created the virtual civilization, Second Life, populated by one million active users generating $700m in annual transaction volumes. In addition to numerous technology inventions (including the video conferencing product called FreeVue, acquired by RealNetworks in 1996 where Rosedale later served as CTO), Rosedale has also worked on experiments in distributed work and computing.
Irena Freidrica Heiberger is the CFO at High Fidelity. Freidrica has operated businesses in the US and international markets for over 20 years. Freidrica bring expertise in financial planning and accountancy to High Fidelity, having worked as COO at CIBT and as a managing director at Accenture. In her previous positions, she has overseen the successful acquisition and integration of 14 companies.
Ryan Karpf is Chief Product Officer at High Fidelity. Prior to working at High Fidelity, Ryan was co-founder at two San Francisco start-ups (Coffee & Power and below92). He has 9 years of experience working virtual worlds at LindenLab, the maker of Second Life, where he managed content and project management before becoming the company’s Chief of Staff. Before joining LindenLab, Ryan was a professional recording artist for 4 years with Island Records.
Tom Schofield is the COO at High Fidelity. Tom has 20 years of experience in enterprise and digital entertainment software development. Tom joined High Fidelity from SEGA Networks where he worked in product management and financial planning on mobile game titles after his former employer, Three Rings, was acquired. While at Three Rings, Tom worked on some of the first Western free-to-play games with in-world currencies, including one of the first free-to-play games to launch on the Steam game service.
Brad Hefta-Gaub is the CTO at High Fidelity. Brad brings 29 years of software development expertise to this role. As one of the earliest employees at RealNetworks he was instrumental in the development of realtime streaming audio and video over the internet. As CTO and SVP Engineering at Revenue Science he lead the team that pioneered behavioral targeting advertising. He holds a number of patents in the area of online media networks, digital rights management, and online advertising. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
