Earlier this month, we partnered with HTC’s ViveX Accelerator program to host our first international developer meeting in High Fidelity.
This was a great opportunity for us to host developers from startups participating in the ViveX program and show them how they can use High Fidelity to communicate effectively in VR with people around the world. To demonstrate, High Fidelity CEO Philip Rosedale gave a talk about his entrepreneurial journey, and then our engineers broke out into small groups with attendees to answer questions.
This event included some firsts for us at High Fidelity, including:
- Hosting an Asia-centric, cross-continental event
- Moving a domain server from the U.S. to Asia
- Presenting on stage with a PowerPoint-like format
- Capturing dynamic body movements by using Vive Trackers
We were delighted to meet with folks from around the world in real-time, including Shenzhen, Beijing, Taipei, Tel Aviv, and San Francisco! During the breakout sessions, our engineers fielded questions about High Fidelity’s GPU use, our business model, and partnership ideas.
Let’s talk!
As an open-source platform, High Fidelity offers flexibility in catering to various business’ needs in setting up a virtual space for presentations, collaborations, and discussion meetings to take place from multiple locations around the world.
