Online Audio Spaces Update: New Features for Virtual Event Organizers

Over the last couple of months in High Fidelity, we’ve hosted a series of live events and salon-style talks showcasing virtual reality and other new technologies, as well as testing our ability to handle crowds. Now, we’d like to try giving up the stage to see what else people can do in VR.
So… We’re going to host and sponsor a first High Fidelity talent show in front of a live audience! Come entertain your fellow VR community for the chance to win $1,000 US.
If you have a talent you want to throw into the ring, please join us on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2pm PDT! We welcome any kind of skill — and hopefully new ones we could only see in VR. Singing, juggling, magic shows, on-the-spot art creation. Bring it on!
Hopefully this will be the first of many events that will showcase what the VR community can do with a fully articulated avatar in realtime.
- Theme: Any talent that you can highlight in VR, that you’d be OK with your mother seeing, for up to 3 full minutes, that fits within the bounds of Zaru’s stage.
- Location: The fabulous Zaru space in High Fidelity, at hifi://zaru
- Time: 2pm PDT
- Prize: A single prize of $1,000 US to be awarded by live audience vote at the event.

On April 17, 2017, if you have been selected to participate, we will contact you via email. All selected entrants will receive $100 US upon successful participation in the talent show.
