Today, High Fidelity and doob™ announce a partnership to enable the importing of doob™ full body scans into High Fidelity virtual reality environments as fully-rigged user avatars.
To celebrate the achievement, High Fidelity and doob™ will process the first 100 scheduled doob™ VR scans into High Fidelity avatars for free. As part of the collaboration, High Fidelity and doob have built a pipeline to capture and rig the avatars to work in High Fidelity both with Oculus Rift and with the HTC Vive and Vive Trackers. Following the initial promotional period, scans to High Fidelity will be available for $450 per scan.
Take advantage of our free avatar offer before it runs out! Follow the steps below:
- Call to make an appointment for an in-person scan at one of doob’s retail locations. Make sure to reference “High Fidelity pipeline” when you call to take advantage of the free avatar offer!
- At your appointment, doob™ will assist with your quick scanning. The experience should take no longer than 15 minutes.
- You will receive notification that your virtual doob — your digital 3D avatar — is ready via the email address you provided during your appointment. From there, you’re ready to use the avatar in High Fidelity!
- If you haven’t done so already, download High Fidelity. Once you’ve gone through the tutorial process and landed in our Welcome space, one of the High Fidelity greeters will assist you in applying your newest doob avatar in our platform.
