Beta Release 84
We're releasing Beta Release 84 on Monday, September 23, 2019 between 3-6 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. - 1 a.m. UTC. There is a protocol change.
In this release, we implemented Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), which improves voice quality by preventing the echo that results in open mic setups. By default, AEC is turned on, and you can turn it off in Settings > Audio. Documentation is available at Acoustic Echo Cancellation.
We also made avatar improvements, added new properties to Create, improved performance for interface's rendering pipelines, and much more.

New Office Hours, 7 Days a Week
We are adding new Office Hours in hifi://maker to the events schedule — they will now be held 7 days a week!
The new schedule is as follows:
Monday: 1-2 p.m. PT / 8-9 p.m. UTC
Tuesday: 9-10 a.m. PT / 4-5 p.m. UTC
Wednesday: 9-10 a.m. PT / 4-5 p.m. UTC and 1-2 p.m. PT / 8-9 p.m. UTC
Thursday: 9-10 a.m. PT / 4-5 p.m. UTC
Friday: 2-3 p.m. PT / 9-10 p.m. UTC - Focused on helping you learn how to sell and submit items to High Fidelity’s marketplace.
Saturday: 9-10 a.m. PT / 4-5 p.m. UTC and 1-2 p.m. PT / 8-9 p.m. UTC
Sunday: 9-10 a.m. PT / 4-5 p.m. UTC and 1-2 p.m. PT / 8-9 p.m. UTC
What can I do at these Office Hours?
The Office Hours are a great place to bring any questions about the Create Tool in High Fidelity. We can also help with Blender 3D / Maya questions and bringing 3D assets into High Fidelity. There is no set specific lesson.
What are some examples of 3D assets I can build in High Fidelity?
3D avatars, wearables, environments, and other artistic assets.
Do I need any prior experience?
Nope, these Office Hours are open to total beginners and advanced users alike.
I’d like to host my own community event in High Fidelity. How do I submit that to the events schedule so it will be promoted?
We want to continue to encourage and support people running their own events! To get your event or experience added to the calendar and as a Feature Card in GoTo, submit your community event or experience using this form and we will review it.
